The CW has released the synopsis for Nikita season 4, episode 6 “Canceled.” This will also be the series finale.

The official press release had the following information about the episode:

THE FINAL FIGHT — Frustrated that MDK is still active, Nikita (Maggie Q) decides to end it her way. Leaving Michael (Shane West) and the team behind, Nikita takes Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) on the road to exact revenge. Nikita and Alex capture Jones (guest star David S. Lee) and force him to reveal the names of the rest of the members of MDK. Armed with the information, Nikita goes down a dark path that may ultimately cost her her soul. Michael tracks her down and must get her to surrender before the military opens fire and kills her. However, Nikita isn’t one to give up on a fight, leading her to make a shocking decision. Eagle Egilsson directed the episode written by Albert Kim & Carlos Coto (#406).

The series finale promises to be full of action and drama, and with a title like that, we can’t help but wonder who will be canceled, as the old Division used to call killing operatives.

We know we’ll be losing at least one member of the team along the way, though star Maggie Q also called the ending “playful.”

“What I liked about how we ended it is that Nikita does not change,” Q says. “It’s not like you see her as a different person who wants to settle down and be happy… You’ll see. It slows down for her, but she’s Nikita! So, the end is a little bit playful as well, which is cool.”

She adds that the finale “give[s] people a glimpse of what could be for these characters, so that fans can also use their own imaginations to go, ‘Well, I think that even though Birkhoff ended up here, he may ultimately end up here.’

“So we don’t completely wrap it up — Nikita’s not holding her first-born in the last shot of the show,” she laughs.

Nikita season 4, episode 6 “Canceled” airs Friday, December 27 at 9:00 p.m. ET on The CW.
