The CW has released a sneak peek and a producer’s preview for the Nikita series finale, titled “Canceled.”

First, we have a brief clip from the episode:

In this clip, we see Senator Chappell, who was in charge of Team Nikita’s briefing in the previous episode, confronting Michael, Birkhoff, and Sam about Nikita and Alex going rogue. This discussion serves as a voice over for various shots of Nikita and Alex taking out members of The Group.

“Hard to believe, but there are ways of getting things done that don’t involve illegal activity,” Chappell says, irritated that Nikita is not waiting to obtain evidence against members of The Group.

“Yeah, well, she tried it that way and now Ryan’s dead,” Michael retorts. And when asked if he agrees with what Nikita is doing, Michael says, “No. What I’m saying is, she’s just getting started.”

And in the producer’s preview for the series finale, executive producer Craig Silverstein teases “the end of the season, the end of the series, and hopefully a fond farewell”:

“So the bubble has burst. Nikita knows, at the cost of Ryan’s life, that everything she thought she won was just an illusion meant to keep her literally in this bubble,” he previews.

“At the end of the last episode, she sets off with her old and first partner, Alex, to take down Amanda and The Group.”

The episode will focus on the question “Who is Nikita?” says Silverstein. “Is she the thing that Division made her to be or is she something more than that?”

The official synopsis for the finale reads:

THE FINAL FIGHT — Frustrated that MDK is still active, Nikita (Maggie Q) decides to end it her way. Leaving Michael (Shane West) and the team behind, Nikita takes Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) on the road to exact revenge. Nikita and Alex capture Jones (guest star David S. Lee) and force him to reveal the names of the rest of the members of MDK. Armed with the information, Nikita goes down a dark path that may ultimately cost her her soul. Michael tracks her down and must get her to surrender before the military opens fire and kills her. However, Nikita isn’t one to give up on a fight, leading her to make a shocking decision. Eagle Egilsson directed the episode written by Albert Kim & Carlos Coto (#406).

Nikita season 4, episode 6 “Canceled” airs Friday, December 27 at 9:00 p.m. ET on The CW.
