The CW has released the synopsis for Nikita season 4, episode 4 “Pay-Off,” featuring a chance at freedom for Team Nikita and the return of an old foe.
The official press release had the following information about the episode:
THE SHOP OFFERS NIKITA THE DEAL OF A LIFETIME — Jones (guest star David S. Lee) benches Amanda (Melinda Clake) and takes back the reigns of the operation. He calls Nikita (Maggie Q) and offers her and the entire team complete freedom by wiping away their identities and faking their deaths if they walk away from their mission. The team lands the plane on a secluded Pakistan air strip, but when the local drug czar and his men storm the plane and demand ten million dollars, Nikita calls Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) for the money. After Alex pulls diamonds out of a safe deposit box to pay the insurgents, Sam (Devon Sawa) sees an opportunity to recoup his losses and contemplates stealing the diamonds. Meanwhile, Michael (Shane West) comes face-to-face with an old adversary, Ramon (guest star Simon Kassianides), who hits Michael with some hard truths. Dwight Little directed the episode written by Terry Matalas & Travis Fickett (#404).
It looks like relations between Amanda and The Group will be disintegrating as her obsession with destroying Nikita grows, which may serve as a turning point for Amanda’s endgame.
Also notable is the return of Ramon, who last appeared in season 2 as a terrorist taking credit for Division kills. Ramon was originally a terrorist who Division sent Nikita to kill. Sympathizing with him, though, Nikita took him alive instead.
After paralyzing him, Percy forced Ramon work as a scapegoat for Division assassinations. When she confronted him again in season 2, Nikita once again let him live when Amanda tried to force her to choose between his life and Michael’s.
Maggie Q recently teased that it will take a third party to help Michael let go of the hurt he feels toward Nikita for leaving him behind. It looks like that third party is Ramon. We’ll be curious to see how this reunion comes about and what exactly Ramon tells him.
