Nikita season 4, episode 4 “Pay-Off” airs tonight as Mr. Jones makes Team Nikita an offer of freedom and Michael is forced to confront his feelings.

Previously on ‘Nikita’…

After being framed for assassinating the president, Nikita went on the run. She returned three months later, only to fall into one of Amanda’s traps. Michael, Ryan, and Birkhoff helped rescue her, and when they reunited Nikita learned that Amanda and The Group were linking her alleged assassination to Pakistan in an effort to start a third world war.

With Amanda replacing government VIPs with doubles loyal to The Group, the world has become a much more dangerous place for Team Nikita. Birkhoff discovered that one such double was his father, Ronald Peller. The team attempted to rescue Peller but had to kill his double before they could follow him back to Amanda. However, Amanda kept Peller alive to use him to crack Shadownet.

Elsewhere, Alex was captured by the CIA and tortured for information about her connection to Nikita. However, with the help of Michael and Sam, Alex escaped.

If that promo has whet your appetite, make sure to read the official synopsis for the fourth episode of season 4:

THE SHOP OFFERS NIKITA THE DEAL OF A LIFETIME — Jones (guest star David S. Lee) benches Amanda (Melinda Clake) and takes back the reigns of the operation. He calls Nikita (Maggie Q) and offers her and the entire team complete freedom by wiping away their identities and faking their deaths if they walk away from their mission. The team lands the plane on a secluded Pakistan air strip, but when the local drug czar and his men storm the plane and demand ten million dollars, Nikita calls Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) for the money. After Alex pulls diamonds out of a safe deposit box to pay the insurgents, Sam (Devon Sawa) sees an opportunity to recoup his losses and contemplates stealing the diamonds. Meanwhile, Michael (Shane West) comes face-to-face with an old adversary, Ramon (guest star Simon Kassianides), who hits Michael with some hard truths. Dwight Little directed the episode written by Terry Matalas & Travis Fickett (#404).
