The CW has released a batch of promotional stills from Nikita season 4, episode 3 “Set-Up.”

This episode, which marks the midway point of Nikita‘s fourth and final season, looks to up the stakes with global ramifications of Nikita’s framing.

Judging from the stills, Nikita and Birkhoff will be spending some quality time together in this episode. We also get a few more looks at the team’s airborne command center, where Ryan and Birkhoff have been overseeing missions.

And we have one shot of Michael and Nikita, though according to series star Maggie Q, it won’t be until the fourth or fifth episode of the season that a third party helps Michael realize just how much Nikita has sacrificed, allowing him to let go of his anger toward her.

The official synopsis for the episode reads:

ALEX IS CAPTURED — Tensions continue to escalate between the United States and Pakistan after Amanda (Melinda Clarke) plants evidence that Pakistan hired Nikita (Maggie Q) to kill the President. Ryan (Noah Bean) becomes suspicious of Birkhoff’s increasingly odd behavior and tells Nikita and Michael that he thinks Amanda may have kidnapped Birkhoff and planted a double on the plane. Meanwhile, the CIA captures Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) and questions her about her involvement with Nikita. Marc David Alpert directed the episode written by Carlos Coto (#403).

Notably absent from the stills, then, is Alex, whose capture seems to be a large part of this episode.

Nikita season 4, episode 3 “Set-Up” airs Friday, December 6 at 9:00 p.m. ET on The CW.
