The CW has released the synopsis for Nikita season 4, episode 2 “Dead or Alive.”
The official press release had the following information about the episode:
DOUBLE TROUBLE — Nikita (Maggie Q) reunites with Michael (Shane West), Birkhoff (Aaron Stanford) and Ryan (Noah Bean) aboard the team’s aircraft command center. Michael refuses to discuss their relationship but tells Nikita she should stay with the group and let them help her clear her name. Ryan realizes Amanda (Melinda Clarke) is making doubles of VIPs with The Shop’s help. Nikita discovers that one of the doubles is the Director of the FBI (guest star Alex Carter), but doesn’t know how to kill him without exposing herself. Meanwhile, Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) holds Sam (Devon Sawa) at gunpoint and demands he return what he stole from her, but when a gang of thugs attacks them they are forced to work together to escape. John Badham directed the episode written by Albert Kim (#402).
We know going into the season that Michael and Nikita’s reunion will be a chilly one as Michael is still incredibly hurt by Nikita leaving him — and her engagement ring — behind. It will be interesting to see how they work on a strictly professional level with that amount of baggage between them.
Meanwhile, it looks like The Shop will be making some pretty big moves for Team Nikita to strike back against. With The Shop’s resources and Amanda’s smarts, it is going to be a tall order for our ragtag group of heroes to bring them down.
Also notable in the synopsis is the return of Sam; it looks like he will be continuing to cause trouble, though the end of season 3 left us with some hope that Owen may still be somewhere inside him after all. His arc will definitely be one to watch in the final season.
