The CW has released a promo and two sneak peeks in front of this week’s new episode of Nikita, “The Sword’s Edge.”
In this first sneak peek, we see Michael and Nikita moving through an underground tunnel as Birkhoff guides them:
The clip ends with Michael putting on some sort of mask, the creation of which we see in the second sneak peek:
According to the episode synopsis, this episode will see Division realizing that “one of their rogue agents, Markov, who has been undercover for six years, has been elected President of Uzbekistan and is planning to kill the President of the United States.”
Ryan is forced to tell “the team that Division is on thin ice with the President and she has threatened to wipe them out if the public finds out about the secret agency and rogue agents,” a secret that has led to tension between Ryan and Nikita since the start of the season. While “Nikita and Michael are furious that Ryan kept this a secret from them,” they “must figure out how to save the President’s life without alerting her of the danger.”
This episode will also further indicate that Amanda has a mole in Division when “Alex and Owen are caught in an explosion.” This comes after the gas attack and Amanda’s subsequent video taunt in “Consequences.” Because Amanda seemed to know exactly when to hack into the Division system, the team was suspicious that she had a partner on the inside.
Finally, we have the promo that aired after “Consequences,” advertising the show’s move to its new 8:00 p.m. ET time slot:
