Nick Jonas is officially heading over to The Voice to become one of their brand new coaches. Anyone else suddenly ready to audition?

The Voice is heading into its 18th season, and it’s adding a pretty fantastic new coach to its ranks in the form of the one and only Nick Jonas. Jonas is set to host alongside fellow coaches Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, and John Legend.

As Deadline reports, Nick Jonas will be heading to the infamous spinning chairs for its upcoming spring season. Meredith Ahr, president of Alternative and Reality Group at NBC Entertainment said in a statement, “As a member of one of the hottest pop groups, Nick’s success in navigating all aspects of the music industry is exceptional. We were so impressed by his innate musicality, technical aptitude and passion that he brought to Songland earlier this year and know he will be an incredible fit as a coach on The Voice.”

And Jonas is certainly well-versed in the music industry. Not only has he had an incredibly successful career with his brothers as a part of the Jonas Brothers, but he’s also had a successful solo and acting career.

The Voice is currently airing with coaches Clarkson, Shelton, Legend, and Gwen Stefani, who Jonas will be tapping in to replace. The show’s ratings this season have been great with the show premiering number one in total viewers for alternative series, and it stands to reason that adding Nick freaking Jonas will only help strengthen the show’s ratings.

Jonas spoke to Ellen Degeneres about his excitement regarding his new gig as a judge, saying, “I’m so excited to be a part of The Voice family. It’s such an awesome group of individuals, and I can’t wait to help these artists really build and hone in to find their unique voices.”

We can’t wait to see how he helps upcoming singers in the new season of The Voice. We are already marking our calendars for the show’s spring release!
