The first details surrounding Nia Vardalos’ character on the final season of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend have been released!

The final season of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend promises to be a satisfying conclusion to one of the most original, engaging shows on television right now. And to make this last season even better, they’ve lined up some pretty rad appearances from some of our faves like Queer Eye‘s Tan France and My Big Fat Greek Wedding‘s Nia Vardalos. The Crazy Ex-Girlfriend team recently let some information slip about Vardalos’ character, and it’s got us more than ready for the season 4 premiere.

As Entertainment Weekly reports, Vardalos is playing one of Rebecca’s long-term, high-end clients, Wendy. After being surprised by a “recent turn of events” in Rebecca’s life (avoiding spoilers here, but we’ll just hazard a guess that those “events” surround what went down in the final moments of the season 3 finale), Wendy returns to Rebecca’s life and Whitefeather and Associates, specifically.

Wendy is a powerful businesswoman who finds herself less-than-impressed by Whitefeather’s performance and busines acumen, and is not thrilled with any of Rebecca’s colleagues at Whitefeather. As Rachel Bloom told EW, “[Wendy] is really, really underwhelmed by the performances of anyone who isn’t Rebecca.”

Bloom goes on to sing the praises of Vardalos’ performance, saying and the decision to cast her in the role, saying, “Nia takes her to a whole other level. That was a brilliant stroke of casting that was Aline’s [Brosh McKenna] idea and it’s just perfect.” Vardalos is an extremely talented actor and incredibly funny, and we absolutely believe that she’s going to bring something wonderful to Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. We can’t wait to see what chaos ensues when Wendy visits Whitefeather!

Happily, we don’t have to wait too long to travel back to West Covina. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is set to return for its final bow on the CW on Friday, October 12. Be sure you’ve got your DVRs ready!
