The next Xbox may require players to install all of their games before being able to play them. Also, Zynga no longer requires users to login with Facebook, and Rockband announces its last DLC song of the week.

The next generation Xbox, codenamed “Durango,” potentially will make gamers fully install games off of discs before being able to play them. This information comes in from IGN.com, who believes that leaked screencaps of the next Xbox’s coding from VGleaks will prove true. VGleaks’ credibility is cited as correctly predicting many of the PlayStation 4 announcement news before last month’s unveiling.

If this leak of information is true, that would confirm rumors in the video game industry that most next generation systems will be able to eliminate the usage of used games. The amount of storage on the Xbox Durango isn’t confirmed, but the leak states that ample space will be allotted to hold all of players’ games. Video games will be, allegedly, downloaded from discs, but the discs themselves will not have the ability to have games read off of them.

Social media game giant Zynga will do away with making players of its games use a Facebook account to login to its services. This includes games such as Farmville and Slingo. Players will be able to access said games on Zynga’s website.

Lastly, music simulating game Rockband will cease sending out weekly DLC songs as of this week’s update. The last new song to be made available via an update on the PlayStation Network and Xbox live versions of Rockband will be Don McLean’s “American Pie.” The update will hit the Internet on April 2.

What do you think of the next generation Xbox news? Will you not be buying the next Xbox if it is true that you will no longer be able to buy used games for it?
