The moment we have all been anticipating has finally arrived. Our first look at clips from The Newsroom season 2 is now here, in the form of a one and a half minute trailer.

The footage in The Newsroom season 2 trailer includes many things we saw in the “Invitation to the Set” video a couple weeks ago, including Jim’s going on the road with the Romney campaign, the same look at Marcia Gay Harden’s character, and a few tidbits about the relationships.

However, we also got quite a bit of new information. We get to see Neal’s interest in the “Occupy Wall Street” movement, some insight into Leona and Reese Lansings’ roles this season, a literal glimpse at newcomer Grace Gummer, and even a reappearance from Nina Howard.

Now, if that doesn’t get you excited, we don’t know what will. One of the most thrilling aspects of this Newsroom season 2 trailer is the amount of Neal we will be seeing. Neal is one of our favorite characters, and his passionate coverage of news is just one of the reasons we love his character so much.

The importance the lawsuit will play this season is probably the most worrisome aspect of the trailer. The last line, “No one responsible for the broadcast will ever work again,” leaves us a little worried, but no doubt Will and Mac will find a way out of the latest trouble spot they have gotten themselves into.

This trailer has given us a lot to be excited about that’s coming in The Newsroom season 2, but don’t forget that you can get your hands on the season 1 Blu-ray or DVD this Tuesday, June 11, which leaves plenty of time for a re-watch or two of the first 10 episodes.
