New images of the characters from X-Men: Days of Future Past have been released. Empire magazine is releasing new images of the film’s characters all day.

X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer released a teaser video this past Friday, which hinted at a some new looks at the film being released today.

Empire will be releasing new covers all day, so keep checking back for additional characters. Check out the new Empire covers for X-Men: Days of Future Pastbelow:

Above we see our first look at Toad and a young William Stryker. Toad has a unique look and more realistic than the version we saw in the original X-Men films. We also get a look at Jennifer Lawrence in Mystique form, as well as Beast’s new form. Michael Fassbender is in his new suit as Magneto and his new helmet is featured.

Our first look at Evan Peters as the character Quicksilver was released recently, which had fans split on the look of the character. Today we get our second look at the mutant and we continue to feel it’s an odd look. We’ll have to wait until we see the film to determine if it’s a hit or miss, but it’s a bit concerning if we’re to be honest.

There were rumors that a new trailer would be coming out today and that may still happen. The first trailer gave us some great looks at essentially all the characters that we’ll be seeing in the X-Men sequel. Many of the actors we saw in X-Men: First Class are back, but Singer has added so many more characters, as seen above, using the film’s time travel element.

X-Men: Days of Future Past won’t hit theaters until May but director Bryan Singer is discussing the next film in the franchise, X-Men: Apocalypse, which will focus on mutant origins. He discussed the fact that he’s co-writing the film as well as producing it, but is still in negotiations to direct.

X-Men: Days of Future Past’s release date is set for May 23, 2014. The film stars returning actors Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, James McAvoy, and Michael Fassbender. Also rejoining the X-Men franchise are Halle Berry, Shawn Ashmore, James Marsden, Ellen Page, and Hugh Jackman. Fan-favorite Peter Dinklage will be playing the film’s villain.
