In a couple of new Walking Dead photos released for the upcoming episode “Sick,” we get a closer look at the prisoners we saw at the end of Sunday’s premiere, and AMC also reveals their names.

At the end of Sunday’s season premiere of The Walking Dead, we had a lot thrown at us in the last few minutes. First, Herschel was bitten by a walker then had Rick cut that leg off, and we saw that there are other people in the prison, presumably prisoners. But who are these people?

Beware of spoilers.

This is the same shot we saw of the prisoners at the end of last week’s episode of The Walking Dead, but this photo from AMC tells us the prisoners’ names. From left to right they are Tiny, Oscar, Axel, Andrew, and Tomas.

Only two of these characters are in the comic version – Axel and Andrew – but we are assuming that Tomas is replacing the Thomas from the show’s graphic novel form.

If we are going to see a character based on Thomas, we are definitely going to see some brutal deaths this season, considering that in the comics, Thomas decapitated Herschel’s two youngest daughters (not on the show), and tried to cut Andrea’s head off as well.

As Herschel’s only remaining daughter, will this be Beth’s fate?

We hope not, but we wouldn’t put it past The Walking Dead crew to follow this dark storyline.

One of the other two photos show Rick, Carol, Beth, and Lori leaning over Herschel’s mangled body, and it looks like Carol is playing doctor. We’ve already questioned Herschel’s mortality this season, but what do you think will happen to him?

The final of the new Walking Dead photos shows Daryl aiming his crossbow. Our guess is that he’s angling it at the newfound prisoners. Maybe he and T-Dog are keeping an eye on these newly discovered survivors as Rick takes care of Herschel.

How will the group react to these new survivors?
