Universal Pictures and the Paranormal Activity creators have a new horror-thriller in the works – Ouija.  It was announced today that the project, originally dropped in August, has been picked up again and will hit theaters in 2013!

Universal dropped the film a few months ago because it was big-budgeted.  Since then, Ouija has been reconfigured down to a $5 million budget and is now back in the works.

The film will be produced by the production companies Hasbro (Brian Goldner and Bennett Schneir), Platinum Dunes (Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form), and Blumhouse (Jason Blum).

There isn’t any word of the plot line yet, but we can be sure that the movie will revolve around the mysterious board!

Will you see the thriller when it’s released next year?
