The latest trailer for Transcendence, starring Johnny Depp, Rebecca Hall, Morgan Freeman, Paul Bettany and Kate Mara, has just been released.

We recently saw the release of the first official trailer for the film, and now in a new trailer we see Johnny Depp, Rebecca Hall and Paul Bettany intending to improve the world, but it all goes wrong when Depp is shot. Check out Transcendence’s new trailer below:

Transcendence is the directorial debut for Wally Pfister. Pfister is a cinematographer and is known mostly for his work with The Dark Knight and Inception director Christopher Nolan. Pfister won an Oscar in 2011 for his mind-bending cinematography in Inception.

It’ll be interesting to see Pfister have even more control behind the camera. Even though he won’t be credited as cinematographer, he’s certain to have a very large hand in creating the film’s appearance.

Transcendence includes a jaw-dropping cast. Morgan Freeman, Rebecca Hall, Kate Mara, Cillian Murphy, and Paul Bettany star alongside Johnny Depp in what should be a very unique story. The trailer gives off a Matrix feel, with a bit more sophistication and certainly a more talented cast.

Transcendence will be released in 2D and IMAX theaters on April 17, 2014.

Thanks, CBM.
