New Thor: The Dark World footage has been revealed via Iron Man 3’s DVD/Blu-ray special features, which includes interviews with Tom Hiddleston, Chris Hemsworth, and Natalie Portman.

Iron Man 3’s DVD/Blu-ray special features have been leaking out this morning, and now some additional footage from Thor: The Dark World has been found to be on the film’s special features as well.

Below you’ll see Marvel’s Kevin Feige discussing how Thor will be able to jump back into being King after finishing up with The Avengers and gives him a chance to go beyond where they could go before. Essentially, this means Thor will be taking Jane Foster to his world.

Update: The video via Tumblr has been taken down, so we’ve included the video below. Wait through the first 30 seconds, then click the play button on the bottom left and it will play the Thor 2 feature.

Thor: The Dark World’s latest trailer gave us some great new footage, along with some new looks of Tom Hiddleston as Loki as well. It was also announced that the cast and crew were going back for reshoots to add even more Loki to Thor’s sequel.

Actress Natalie Portman recently revealed that she “thinks they will be making” Thor 3, so we’ll be interested to see if the entire cast will be back for that during Marvel’s Phase three.

With the new footage, we’re seeing a much darker film than before, and while the comedy aspects are still present, we can tell that Game of Thrones’ director Alan Taylor has had a huge impact on the style of the film.

Given the presence of the Dark Elves (including Malekith) in the film, it may be safe to say that we’ll be treated to something more cosmic and less Earthly than Thor. This may be Marvel’s transition into Guardians of the Galaxy, which will be a very space-filled film.

We’re definitely looking forward to Thor’s sequel and its November 8 release date.
