We’ve seen quite a bit of promotion for Thor: The Dark World recently, and we continue to get multiple new posters each week featuring characters from the new Marvel film. The latest posters featuring the female leads was definitely a breath of fresh air.

The first new poster shows Idris Elba as the gatekeeper of Asgard, Heimdall, and the second poster features another look at Christopher Eccleston as the film’s villain Malekith. Check out the new posters below in HD thanks to EW:

In the new TV spot, Marvel reveals a decent amount of new footage from the film, check it out below thanks to Marvel.

Thor: The Dark World continues to look more and more like it will trump the first film, as the footage seen in the latest trailer was riveting. We’re seeing a much darker film than before, and while the comedy aspects are still present, we can tell that Game of Thrones’ director Alan Taylor has had a huge impact on the style of the film.

This film will certainly be Marvel’s transition into Guardians of the Galaxy, which will be a very space-filled film. Thor’s sequel is looking very promising and we’re excited for its November 8 release date.
