Thor: The Dark World’s promotion is getting cranked into high gear as we have a new extended TV spot featuring Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, and Natalie Portman.

During tonight’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. a new Thor: The Dark World TV spot was released during a commercial break and it featured loads of new footage.

Earlier today a new interview with Tom Hiddleston was released concerning Loki and new HD images from the film. Check out the new TV spot below:

It’s nice to finally get some dialogue from the film – something that’s been missing in the first few trailers and TV spots.

Fans may notice that Thor says “Every 5,000 years, the worlds align, allowing an ancient darkness to strike.” We imagine this will give Malekith a chance to make his way into London.

Posters featuring Christopher Eccleston and Tom Hiddleston as Loki have been released recently, along with some additional TV spots.

Thor: The Dark World continues to look more and more like it will trump the first film, as the footage seen in the latest trailer was riveting.

We’re seeing a much darker film than before, and while the comedy aspects are still present, we can tell that Game of Thrones’ director Alan Taylor has had a huge impact on the style of the film.

This film will certainly be Marvel’s transition into Guardians of the Galaxy, which will be a very space-filled film. Thor’s sequel is looking very promising and we’re excited for its November 8 release date.
