Marvel has released a new Guardians of the Galaxy trailer featuring new looks at Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon.

Recently, Marvel revealed some incredible posters for Guardians of the Galaxy and also announced that a new trailer would be released. The studio has released the film’s epic new trailer featuring loads of new footage that tells us a bit more about Star-Lord’s story. Watch the new full-length trailer below:

The new Guardians of the Galaxy trailer gives us some great looks at Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana and more importantly shows us quite a bit more of Bradley Cooper voicing Rocket Raccoon. It looks as though he’ll be quite talkative in the film.

We recently got our first great looks at Karen Gillan as the film’s villain Nebula, but haven’t seen her in many of the trailers. The makeup (and bald head) make her look incredibly menacing and she is definitely one of the draws to the film despite not appearing in this most recent trailer.

Marvel shot for the fences with this film and while it’s still a wild card, we think this will be a major hit with audiences with its unique characters and great comedic elements. A report was recently released that stated Marvel has already scheduled a Guardians of the Galaxy sequel for 2016.

Guardians of the Galaxy’s release date is set for August 1, 2014. Featuring an intergalactic group of Guardians, led by Star-Lord, they make a desperate stand to save the galaxy.

Two-time Academy Award nominee Bradley Cooper voices the machine-gun-wielding Rocket Raccoon and is joined by Vin Diesel as the tree-like Groot, with Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan and Dave Bautista filling out the leading roles. James Gunn directed and wrote the script.
