A new, Japanese trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has a lot of great new footage giving us major clues about the plot of Episode VII.

Technically, there are no more trailers for December’s The Force Awakens coming. But technically this is a new trailer, and technically, it’s awesome.

Star Wars is huge in Japan, and clearly, they deserve a tailor-made trailer. Lucky for us, the Internet exists, and we get to experience the awesome new material as well! Check it out:

In the new trailer, we hear Rey asking everyone’s new favorite droid (sorry R2!), BB8, where it comes from. She appears to understand it, as she proceeds to tell it, “I know all about waiting… for my family.”

Everyone’s assuming that Rey is the daughter of Leia Organa and Han Solo, but if she’s waiting for them, where have they been?

Meanwhile, on the Dark Side, Kylo Ren is speaking to Darth Vader’s crumbling mask. He tells the former Jedi, “I will fulfill our destiny. I will finish what you started.”

Finn and Rey have a little meet-cute (anyone else gearing up for an “Across the Stars” love theme reprise?), we catch glimpses of Leia and C-3PO, Chewbacca blows something up (is that the Millennium Falcon?), and Rey is very nearly skewered by Kylo Ren’s lightsaber.

Finally, the trailer takes a page out of the Lord of the Rings trilogy and recruits Galadriel to whisper, “Hope is not lost today. It is found.”

We might even call it… a new hope.

This is too exciting! Why can’t it be December 18 already?!

What is your favorite part of the new ‘Star Wars’ trailer? (And where is Luke?)
