The Game of Thrones-inspired webseries School of Thrones is coming soon to YouTube, and now you can see promotional posters featuring some of the characters!

Fandoms collide as cast members from the popular YouTube sensations Starkid and The Lizzie Bennet Diaries band together for a modern adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire saga.

The new webseries School of Thrones sees the medieval story re-imagined in modern times, with the characters all attending “Westeros Valley High” – and instead of battling for the crown of the kingdom, they’re battling for the crown of the campus, as the all-important prom approaches. We’re sure they’ll all be getting their invitations by raven!

School of Thrones counts familiar faces Joey Richter (Theon Greyjoy), Maxwell Glick (Stannis Baratheon) and Mary Kate Wiles (Sansa Stark) among its cast members, and you can see a few brand new character shots released on Tumblr with the hashtag #PromIsComing (a play on the HBO series’ tagline “Winter is Coming”):

The posters feature what seem to be three pairs of prom king(/king)/queen contestants: Renly Baratheon (Brendan Bradley) and Loras Tyrell (Matthew Boehm), Robb Stark (Nick Palatas) and Theon Greyjoy, and Stannis Baratheon and Melisandre (Marisha Ray).

We can’t wait to see how these iconic characters are re-imagined as high school students! We’re sure there’ll be as much betrayal and backstabbing as in the original story… though hopefully not as literally.

School of Thrones premieres on YouTube in March.
