It’s time to get your summer reading lists in order, and June has a plethora of great new romance titles you’ll want to be sure to add.

Kristen’s to be read list:

‘Roar’ by Cora Carmack — June 13

Roar is the book I was most excited to read this year. It’s been a long wait since it was first announced, but, as with all Cora Carmack books, well worth the wait. I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy and I devoured it. It crushed all of my expectations with gusto, and surprised me more than once. Roar is officially a YA novel, but there’s a heck of a strong romantic thread woven into the story, and Cora’s history with romance convinced me to include it here.

The series’ starter tells the tale of Aurora Pavan, a princess without powers in a world ravaged by storms. She was not born with the ability to control or battle storms like her ancestors, and her mother arranges a marriage for Aurora with a powerful family that could save Pavan from destruction.

Enter a roguish storm hunter that gives Aurora the answer to her greatest desire: to be able to protect her kingdom herself.

‘Salvaged’ by Jay Crownover — June 20

While this is bound to be an absolutely fantastic story, it’s also the final story in the Saints of Denver series, and endings are always bittersweet. Am I anxious to read Wheeler and Poppy’s story? Abso-freakin-lutely. Am I freaking out about reading the final story in what will be 11 books worth of Marked Men/Saints of Denver perfection? Most definitively, yes.

While goodbyes are hard, they allow for new beginnings as well, and Jay Crownover has a lot of tricks still up her sleeve. I am always looking forward to what she has coming next, and that will not change with the end of the Marked Men’s expanded universe.

‘Dating You/Hating You’ by Christina Lauren — June 6

After devouring both the Wild Seasons and Beautiful series, I was anxious to see what Christina Lauren had in store for us next, and the three upcoming novels from them are more than intriguing. The first of those three, Dating You/Hating You comes out June 6, and is a fabulous stand alone to kick off their 2017 slate.

I am a sucker for a good office rivalry romance, and that’s pretty much what Dating You/Hating You is ready to deliver. Carter and Evie hit it off at a mutual friend’s Halloween party, but later learn that their professional lives are about to be more entangled than two strangers could ever expect. Crazy hijinks are bound to ensue.

Sonya’s to be read list:

‘The Darkest Promise’ by Gena Showalter — June 13

Gena Showalter is one of my favorite paranormal romance writers. Her ability to create new worlds, creatures, and characters blows my mind. I’ve been following the Lords of the Underworld series for years now and I’m never disappointed when a new novel comes out.

The Darkest Promise takes on Cameo’s story, host of the demon of Misery, as she has to fight her demon on a daily basis. Unlike some of the other Lords, Cameo’s loneliness is worsened by the fact that if she talks it makes those around her cry and just being near her can start to bring down her friends. Until Cameo meets Lazarus, who makes it his mission to make her happy — but he’s fighting some (less literal) demons of his own.

‘Stay’ by Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy – June 20

I’ve been anticipating this book for what seems like forever, but it’s totally worth the wait. Since I was lucky enough to get an ARC I’ve already read this one. And I plan on reading it several times more in the upcoming weeks. Stay is the perfect mix of comedy with romance and I loved it so much I’m going to call it now as my favorite romance for the summer.

Stay is the second book in the WAGs series and catches up with Matt Eriksson as he deals with becoming a bachelor again. Except that he’s not looking to hook up with randoms and ends up developing a crush on his anonymous virtual assistant Hailey. Hailey also happens to be a recent divorcee, together they learn how to move on and heat things up.

‘Tycoon’ by Katy Evans — June 20

Katy Evans is an author that I’ve been following for a while now, and she always seems to write romance novels that I just can’t put down until I’m done. Tycoon doesn’t sound like anything she’s written before and I can’t wait to see how it turns out.

Aaric Christos is described as a “cold, ruthless, aggressive businessman.” But he wasn’t always that way, and a woman from his past is coming back to ask for help saving her startup. Will she regret her decision to work with Aaric? I can’t wait to find out!
