In another new Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters poster, we get a look at Clarisse La Rue, daughter of Ares.

Leven Rambin will be portraying Clarisse, who was not featured in the first movie, The Lightning Thief, but will play an important role in its sequel, Sea of Monsters.

Clarisse is a bully at Camp Half-Blood and Percy Jackson’s nemesis. In the novels, the two definitely don’t get off on the right foot, and Percy always has to watch out for the hot-headed and bad tempered demigod.

In Sea of Monsters specifically, Clarisse goes on a quest to find the Golden Fleece, which everyone is hoping will cure Thalia’s tree and save the camp. Percy, Annabeth, and Tyson eventually join her, and together they make their way through the Sea of Monsters.

We haven’t seen much of Clarisse in the trailer, but fans seem to be a little worried that Rambin is much more beautiful than the character was meant to be in the series.

However, considering we only got a line or two of dialogue from her in the trailer, it’s much too soon to discount the actress just yet. Clarisse seems tough and competitive, and that will be much more important for her characterization than her looks.

Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve gotten posters for other Sea of Monsters characters, all in the same style as the one above. Make sure you check out the one for Percy Jackson, as well as Annabeth, Grover, and Tyson.

Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters hits theaters on August 7 and is based on the book of the same name by Rick Riordan. It stars Logan Lerman as Percy, Alexandra Daddario as Annabeth, Brandon T. Jackson as Grover, and Jake Abel as Luke, as well as Nathan Fillion (Hermes), Stanley Tucci (Dionysus), Leven Rambin (Clarisse), and Douglas Smith (Tyson).
