There are lots of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix in August 2016, for all of you who would rather stay indoors than enjoy the warm.

If it’s too hot to go outside, the slightly more comfortable heat radiating from your television or computer may be a better way to pass the sleepy summer hours. Luckily for Netflix customers, there are plenty of new TV shows and movies that were added in August.

Before we get to what’s new on Netflix, here’s a timely recommendation: One of the main people featured in the original documentary series Making a Murderer just had his major conviction overturned by a federal judge. If you haven’t watched Making a Murderer season 1, now’s the perfect time to do so — new episodes are in the pipeline and will surely depict Friday, August 12’s big Brendan Dassey news!

So, what’s new in Netflix’s streaming library? Highlights on the movie side of the platter: Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth, two Fast and Furious movies, Zack and Miri Make a Porno (just in time for Seth Rogen’s latest release, Sausage Party), No Country for Old Men, and Blue is the Warmest Color.

If you’re looking for some good comedy, a new Louis C.K. special is now available.

New TV on Netflix in August 2016 includes the streaming service’s latest Original Series, The Get Down. And if you’re looking to catch up on past TV seasons, shows including Once Upon a Time, NCIS, and Law & Order: SVU have just been added.

Check out the trailer for Netflix’s The Get Down below. Interestingly, the show has an insanely big budget: A total of $120 million for season 1.
