In the new Maze Runner clip, Thomas experiences the doors of the maze closing for the first time.

Today 20th Century Fox released a new clip from the Maze Runner film. Check it out below:

Thomas’ curiosity is in full swing in this preview as he goes to “take a look” at the massive stone opening into the maze.

The younger glader Chuck tries to warn him of the danger surrounding the exit, but before he has the chance to fully explain, Gally quite literally comes charging on screen. He shoves the greenie away from the door, preventing him from doing anything he would regret later. Maybe not the most gentle method of protection, but it gets the job done.

With Alby at the helm, the other gladers come to help gain control of the situation, clearly afraid that Thomas will make a run for it just as the doors are about to close. But before much of an explanation can be given, a loud metallic grinding noise begins to sound and the doors of the maze begin to pull together.

It’s not only Thomas’ first time at seeing the maze in action; it is also our first time at getting to see the doors to the maze close as well. The scope and height of the wall is overwhelming and it preys on the fear of claustrophobia in a scary and interesting way.

This is our third full clip from the movie that we have seen so far. The first video showcases Alby introducing Thomas to the Glade and the world around him. Taking place probably a little bit later than the clip above, since Thomas seems a bit more relaxed and receptive to the older boy.

The second clip involves another Thomas and Gally confrontation. The heated wrestling match that has been discussed in many of the press interviews that took place on set.

How do you feel about the ‘Maze Runner’ adaptation so far?
