In the latest Maze Runner clip, Thomas learns what it takes to be a Runner and how to survive the maze.

As Keeper of the Runners, it’s Minho’s responsibility to train and prepare the new Runners in the community. But the brave straightforward leader doesn’t have time to beat around the bush or hold people’s hands. He lays it out for Thomas and doesn’t try to belittle the danger at all.

“Everyday the maze runners follow the same procedure.

Report to the map room.
Receive your section assignments.
Gear up.
And run. Never stop running.
Come back before the doors close.

If you survive, we do it all over again the next day.”

It looks like the promotional campaign for The Maze Runner is starting to do its job. Clips like these are intriguing audiences and news about the movie is spreading.

Yesterday, Variety published an article announcing that the film was on track to make 30 million its opening weekend. Not a bad follow up to the 48 million opening that producers Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen managed to score with The Fault in Our Stars.

A fascinating aspect about The Maze Runner though, is that both males and females seem equally as interested in the film. Since The Hunger Games and Twilight franchises have been so heavily dominated by female audiences, this is a chance for network executives to reach out to a whole new demographic of moviegoers. Potentially setting a new pace for future young adult movies in general.
