Check out the final Man of Steel trailer that has just been released. Watch as General Zod, played by Michael Shannon, issues a warning to Earth that we must give up Superman.

Man of Steel’s promotional efforts have increased in the last few weeks, with TV spots and character posters, and once the official trailer was released, fans flocked to see new Man of Steel footage. This brand new trailer amps up the action and gives Superman fans a glimpse at how director Zack Snyder intends to handle the legendary grand-daddy of superheroes. Watch the new Man of Steel trailer below:

This new trailer gives us some exciting new looks at Michael Shannon as General Zod, and continues the “viral marketing” that was promised early on in the film’s post-production.

We see loads of damage being done to the city, and another message from Zod saying Superman will, “look like you, but he is not one of you. To those of you who know of his location, the fate of your planet rests in your hands. Surrender within 24 hours or watch this world suffer.”

We’ve been enjoying the teasers for Man of Steel, but maybe more importantly, we’d like to point out how inspiring Hans Zimmer’s score has felt so far. We imagine the music in Man of Steel is being taken very seriously, as Superman and his theme song, written by the legendary John Williams, has allowed many fans to remain emotionally connected to the grandfather of superheroes.

There definitely seems to be a real sense of danger in this new trailer, something we’ve yet to encounter in the previous Man of Steel trailers. We look forward to seeing what kind of tone we can expect from director Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot.

While Iron Man 3 has been in theaters the past few weeks, breaking $1 billion at the box office this past week, Man of Steel is steadily increasing in buzz. Early reviews of the film are very positive, and with Man of Steel being an origins story, similar to Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins, we’re expecting it to go over well with audiences across the globe.

Man of Steel’s release date is set for June 14 and stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Russell Crowe, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, and Laurence Fishburne. Check out the official trailer for the film and several images released of the characters last week.
