As we start our long wait for the release of Kingdom Hearts 4, a new Kingdom Hearts game in a mobile spin-off title has fans guessing its real name.

In an attempt at getting fans excited for yet another new Kingdom Hearts spin-off title, Square Enix created a Twitter account asking the fans to participate in a “guess the name” contest.

The new Kingdom Hearts mobile game codenamed Project Xehanort will continue the Xehanort saga, despite comments by series creator Tetsuya Namora stating that Kingdom Hearts 3 was to close off the story of Xehanort’s rein. The recently released KH3 DLC Re Mind has further cleaned up the Dark Seeker Saga, meaning we’re probably going back in time to learn more of YMX’s origins in Project Xehanort.

Young Master Xehanort (YMX) debuted in 2012’s Nintendo 3DS game Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, where he traveled through time and space in an attempt to turn Sora’s heart into a darkness ridden void. However, YMX’s plans were foiled by King Mickey and Riku, leaving an empty space in Master Xehanort’s 13 vessels of darkness.

The YMX in the teaser image for the new Kingdom Hearts game is the model seen at the beginning of Kingdom Hearts 3. This YMX was seen playing chess with the now-deceased Master Eraqus. In the third game’s intro, the two discuss an unknown future, and the various possibilities it may hold, depending on the moves made by either the Light or Dark side of the KH universe.

There are 10 $100 Amazon giftcards up for the potential winners of the Project Xehanort “guess the name” contest, which ends 1/28 at 6:59 p.m. PT. Project Xehanort will release sometime in Spring 2020 for Andriod and iOS mobile devices. It joins Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] in Square Enix’s mobile game ventures. Union χ[Cross] sees frequent updates to battle events, items, weapons, and story, with the latest update hitting on January 9, 2020.
