A new Jessica Jones season 2 trailer has been released, and our favorite hot-mess detective has no more f*cks to give.

The trailer for Marvel’s Jessica Jones season 2 is a tantalizing combination of new faces and stories, and Jess’s familiar self-destructive determination. Jessica Jones may have defeated Kilgrave (…or has she…) but she’s still drinking heavily, and the ghosts of her past have returned with a vengeance.

As the trailer suggests, however, those ghosts may not be Jessica’s alone.

The new Jessica Jones season 2 trailer introduces a few new elements to Jessica’s matrix of dysfunction, beyond the central mystery of her family’s death and signature anguished snark. There’s a new rival detective, shocking revelations about other super-strong sufferers, and Trish’s determination to join her friend in the world of heroics… whether Jessica wants her to, or not.

But Jessica Jones season 2 won’t stray too far from the show’s central theme. The last few moments of the new trailer bathe our heroine in that familiar purple light, and none other than Kilgrave himself can be heard applauding viciously off-screen.

Is David Tennant’s monstrous manipulator just a hallucination? Or could the reference to Jessica’s being revived from the dead have consequences for Kilgrave too?

We shudder to contemplate the implications!

Marvel and Netflix have also released a new poster for Jessica Jones season 2, which features a very apt caption for Jessica’s life.

Jessica Jones season 2 stars Krysten Ritter, Rachael Taylor, Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Janet McTeer, and J.R. Ramirez. David Tennant will guest-star in the role of Kilgrave.

Marvel’s Jessica Jones season 2 hits Netflix on March 8, 2018.
