Yesterday, we got a bit of discussion from director Gary Ross about The Hunger Games, and today, even more has come along. This time, the subject du jour is perspective.

Ross is promising two point-of-views that stay loyal to the book!

From MTV, here’s what Ross had to add today:

“That’s one of the fun things about it; there are times when you’re viscerally inside Jen’s shoes, and that’s the main experience . . .  and there are other times when you’re witnessing her the way they’re witnessing her in the Game—and she’s constantly being watched, which is one of the things that makes the book so compelling. So yeah, we do shift perspective, although I will say it’s mainly an intense first-person experience, inside Katniss’ shoes.”

What do you think of Gary Ross’ words here? They seem to lend favor to the notion that we’ll be seeing things from the perspectives of Haymitch, Cinna, the gamemakers, the Capitol, and/or the districts during “The Games” on-screen. Having these new glimpses is part of the beauty of making the book into a film, really, so does that excite you as much as it does me? Below is the new video discussion snippet with Ross.
