The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies will hit theaters in just two weeks, and the studio has released an incredibly exciting clip where Gandalf and Galadriel are in need of some assistance.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies’ world premiere took place in London on Monday, and fans were lucky enough to watch it via an online stream.

Now the studio has kicked the promotion in high gear, releasing two clips yesterday featuring our first look at the massive battle that will take place in the final film, and now a very exciting fight sequence that involves the white council.

Seeing Galadriel holding an injured Gandalf while Elrond and Saruman come to the rescue looks incredibly exciting. While this scene isn’t in The Hobbit novel, a similar scene is mentioned in Tolkien’s other works, so it’s great to see Peter Jackson including material like this that should be great to watch on screen.

We’re very excited about The Hobbit trilogy coming to a close on December 17, and while fans have been split on the trilogy’s adaptation so far, the final film is getting fairly solid early reviews.

Director Peter Jackson and his team have done an excellent job keeping fans involved in the process during these last few years, and it’s somewhat bittersweet that this will most likely be the final film involving Jackson and J.R.R. Tolkien’s works.

During the premiere Jackson described himself as a fan that happened to get lucky enough to direct these films, and said he would be on the other side of the street during the world premiere screaming like the rest of us if he hadn’t gotten to direct the films.

Peter Jackson has stated that while the film’s battle will be 45 minutes long, fans shouldn’t expect to feel too much battle fatigue. The film’s entire runtime is reportedly 144-minutes long. He also said that the final film will have 30 minutes added during its extended edition release.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies will be released in theaters worldwide on December 17, 2014.
