We may have only just met the new Glee cast members but that won’t stop us from making some snap judgments. See how we’ve ranked each of them so far!

A new season of Glee is here and with it came a handful of new characters. We have to admit we were a little nervous about adding new characters to the last season but now that we’ve met all of them we’re becoming less weary. There have been five additions and we think the only thing to do is to arrange them in order of “worst” to “best” based off of our first impressions. It’s only fair, after all.

5. Spencer

Spencer got the last spot mostly because I didn’t get to hear much of his voice and only got to see him being a smug football player. We’re excited to see how Spencer’s story progresses because the setup is there and there’s potential for him to be the Finn Hudson of his class. We’re not completely sold on his voice from the little bit we heard in “Home,” which was much more rugged than we were expecting it to be. It was a surprise but we’re looking forward to hearing more from him and seeing his character develop.

4/3. Mason and Madison

We’re grouping this pair together (pictured below, far left) because the show is going for the whole “twin incest” thing so there hasn’t been much distinction between the two of them. At least not yet, that is. Their voices sound fantastic, though, and we’re intrigued by their relationship. Not the incest thing, just their upbringing and why they want to be in the glee club. There has to be something behind their perky exteriors.

2. Jane

So Jane (pictured above, far right) may be our new female idol. We mean, she marched straight into Dalton Academy to audition to be a Warbler without a second thought about her gender. Talk about being a strong woman. The girl has moxy and we like it. Plus, taking on Janelle Monàe is no easy feat and she made it look easy. Good things are coming for her, we can tell.

1. Roderick

Maybe it’s just us, but Roderick (pictured above in glasses with huge headphones) was the clear winner in our eyes. From what we can see so far he’s a true underdog with the voice of an angel. He seems more stuck in his shell than the rest of the bunch which only means there’s so much growth to come from him. He basically has “glee club” written all over him. As far as his voice goes, it’s a bit more soulful and bluesy than the other males who have been on Glee so it should be a fun shakeup in the cast.

Overall, we’re not complaining about any of the new characters. They all had decent time on screen in “Homecoming” but it never felt like they overshadowed the original folks.

What do you think of the newest band of Gleeks this season?
