M. Night Shyamalan’s Glass released a brand new trailer, and it is all about the supervillain team-up happening in the new flick.

Glass is set to be the third film in this franchise after M. Night Shyamalan’s Unbreakable and Split. The new movie will presumably tell the story of our hero, David Dunn (Bruce Willis) attempting to stop two powerful villains, The Beast (James McAvoy) and Elijah, aka Mr. Glass (Samuel L. Jackson) from causing mayhem and destroying the world. While the movie begins with the three locked up together in a mental institution to work through what is believed to be the delusion that they all have superpowers, they all soon break out, and that is when things get interesting.

Of course, while David Dunn is interested in helping people, Elijah and The Beast have other ideas in mind. Mr. Glass attempts to set a larger plan in motion to reveal the existent of super-human individuals (both good and bad) to the entire world. He manages to enlist The Beast in his plan, and the trailer shows us just how dangerous this supervillain team-up will be for the rest of the world.

This new trailer really makes the movie feel like the villains will be the main focus of the film rather than our “good guy” David Dunn. After all, the flick is called Glass, so who knows how large of a part Willis’ character will actually play in the movie compared to Jackson’s titular character.

Regardless, this is a Shyamalan movie we’re talking about, so we always have to be ready for everything we think we know about the story to be turned on its head by the time we get to the final few moments of the film. But regardless of whether or not this story will be about an unlikely hero or a new supervillain team up, this trailer makes the years of waiting we’ve done for additional installments in the Unbreakable story feel incredibly worth it.

We still have a bit of a wait ahead of us before Glass opens in theaters. The movie will premiere on January 18, 2019, so if you need us, we’ll be watching the trailers a few million more times searching for as many clues about this movie as we can.
