With New Girl half way over, there are still some key elements we’re hoping to get out of the remainder of the season.

1. Ferguson

Yes, that cute little kitty is number one on our list. Why? Because Winston was funny and entertaining when he was around his beloved feline friend. And Ferguson was definitely our favorite thing about New Girl season 3. So where is he this season?! We’ve seen him talked about, they’ve shown his kitty bowls and scratching post. But Ferguson has been missing in action all season. We demand an end to this and his appearance in an episode as soon as possible.

2. Cece needs a better story line

Cece is one of the funnier, underrated, characters on New Girl. Her chemistry with the entire cast is flawless and we’re never bored when she’s in a scene. However, it seems like her entire role in this season is centered around Schmidt. They’re still in this weird friend zone where Schmidt just hits on her all the time. Don’t get us wrong, it’s cute, and we love them together. But we want more out of Cece. The few episodes that have given her some depth (her fight with Jess, and her contemplating a breast reduction) were some of the best episodes of the season. We don’t really care how they give her more depth this season, we just want to enjoy more time with Cece on our television screen.

3. Schmidt to move on from Cece

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but we have to bring this up again. Not only are we tired of seeing Cece’s storyline revolve around Schmidt, but we’d like to see him move on as well. Cece couldn’t be any clearer in her stance on their friendship, and that it’s going to stay that way. Even if he is sweet to her sometimes we just don’t see her getting over the betrayal of dating another woman at the same time as her. We get that Schmidt will probably never be over Cece. But we don’t need to be reminded of it practically every episode.

4. Coach in a relationship

This is something we’ve never seen. When Coach returned last season on New Girl, he had just ended a long term relationship. Fans saw him go on one awful date with Cece. And since then he’s only had casual hook ups. Every other main character on the show has been in a relationship except for him. It’s time to spice things up! This could offer up a whole new side to Coach. And also bring in some hilarity to see how he will handle a relationship after being out of practice for so long. We just kindly request that it’s not with Jess or Cece.

5. More of Nick and Kai

For one glorious episode, New Girl focused on Nick and Kai’s new relationship. It was everything we hoped for with an interesting twist. With Kai rich, and not afraid to spend it on Nick, it could open a lot of doors. Nick is usually just the lazy guy around the apartment or working at the bar. But maybe this is his chance to do more? Kai could buy him his own bar! It’s not that we don’t love Nick just as he is. But he has to do something with his life, eventually. Plus, Kai is the laid back polar opposite to Jess so it brings a new dynamic to the group.

6. A game of True American Drinking Game

A season isn’t complete without seeing the gang drunken play True American. And We’re never disappointed to see the different rules they add on each time. The level of drunk that they reach also allows for anything crazy to happen in the episode. Let’s not forget that True American was the catalyst for Nick and Jess to get together as well as their breakup.

What would you like to see in the rest of ‘New Girl’ season 4?
