The third date
Ian asks Jess out on a third date and she’s eager for what will come after. The guys advise her not to tell him that she lives with an ex. Nick has been dealing with the same issue. So Nick tells Jess to tell Ian that he’s gay now and that’s why they broke up.
At their date, Jess tells Ian that she lives with her ex. He gets freaked out so Jess resorts to the gay plan Nick came up with. Surprisingly Nick is very good at pretending to be gay.
Cece tells Jess that all the women in her family have back problems and so she’s thinking about getting a breast reduction. Somehow Schmidt hears this through the hall and comes running in to stop her.
Long Game
When Coach catches Winston getting their neighbors mail he says that the long game won’t work. While Winston goes to fix Viv and Michelle’s toilet Coach asks them to hang out. Winston doesn’t agree with Coach’s plan.
Coach brings Schmidt to Viv and Michelle’s only to find Winston is already there. But Schmidt can’t get his mind off of Cece’s breast reduction. The girls get weirded out and kick the guys out.
Later, Coach goes back to the girl’s apartment to find Winston putting up new shelves for him. So he calls them out for dangling sex in front of Winston to get him to help out. When Coach puts a stop to it and says Winston won’t help out anymore Michelle agrees to sleep with Winston.
The wrench in the plan
In the morning, Nick wakes Jess up and apologizes because he brought a girl home. And Ian is still at the loft so they have to juggle the two and somehow pull off Nick’s gay story.
After talking to Nick, Ian says he doesn’t buy the gay story. Especially when Nick starts sweating. Schmidt comes home after walking around all night and Nick says he was really worried about him. Ian backtracks and says he believes Nick, until his date comes in and kisses him.
Saying goodbye
Schmidt has finally come to terms with Cece’s surgery but he wants to say goodbye to them. After a long speech from him about his love for each breast she agrees to show him one last time. First, he insists she wears headphones so she doesn’t listen to his goodbye.
Cece takes off her headphones just long enough to hear Schmidt admit he will always love her chest, no matter the size, because they’re attached to the most beautiful person.
At the end of the day, the loft mates realize they’re all pretty weird to date.
