Winston announces that his background check from the police academy is today and he needs everyone’s help. Coach says he has a busy day ahead of him outlet shopping, though. After hearing his plan, Nick and Schmidt want in too. Luckily, Jess convinces them that Winston needs their help. She reminds them of the time he handcuffed his cat’s puff to the radiator and lost the key.
Jess is all for helping Winston until she finds out that the LAPD is coming to the loft. After Winston leaves, she admits to the guys that she’s freaked out because there is a bag of meth in her closet.
They’re baffled, and Jess tells them how she bought a foot stool at a garage sale and found a giant bag of meth in it. Winston can’t know about it, says Jess. She’s worried he’s already failing out of the police academy.
Nick starts freaking out about having to lie to the cops. So Jess calls Cece to find out how to get rid of the meth. When Schmidt asks for the bag Jess throws it at him and it goes everywhere. The gang clearly isn’t dealing with this very well.
Winston and Sergeant Dorado walk into the loft to find everyone sketchily hanging out right there. She sits everyone down to ask them questions and Nick is already nervous. The meth starts to slowly fall out of Jess’ bra where the meth is hidden when Cece bursts in. She’s about to out the drugs when Schmidt grabs her for a kiss to shut her up — and also to kiss her.
When Dorado asks the group why Winston would be an asset to the LAPD Coach brings up his work at the Big Brother Big Sister program. Too bad Winston doesn’t actually do that. So Coach leaves to go pick up the pretend little brother to prove it.
Dorado decides to have a look around the loft, while Jess and Cece try to get rid of the drugs. First they try the shower then the toilet, neither work very well. The pipes start to back up and make all kinds of noise. Dorado realizes that something is up and corners Nick for some answers.
Winston finds Jess trying to get rid of the drugs and asks why she didn’t tell him. He could of gotten rid of them but she doesn’t see him as a cop. Jess admits that they never thought he’d make it this far in the academy.
Realizing defeat, Jess tells Dorado the truth. So Dorado leaves them all in the living room to check out the bathroom. The reason that the pipes backed up was that it wasn’t drugs at all but aquarium rocks. So Winston passes the background check, and Dorado even says he’s the best cadet.
Then Coach shows up with someone who clearly isn’t a little brother. But he hangs out with them at the loft anyways. Coach seems to have made a new friend.
