Last night on New Girl season 4, episode 17, “Spiderhunt,” Schmidt forced everyone to ban together and kill his nemesis. Read our recap here!
Fawn is coming over the loft for the first time and Schmidt asked Nick to make his special sauce for fondue. Jess is confused about the sauce and why Cece isn’t answering her calls. Winston warns Cece that her actions are suspicions but Cece doesn’t want Jess getting involved.
When Jess swats something off of Schmidt, he immediately starts freaking out that it was a spider. Now he wants to have a spider hunt so that Fawn doesn’t see him freaking out.
Even though Winston promised to keep Cece’s secret, he can’t keep his cool around Jess. She easily figures out that the reason Cece hasn’t come over is because she likes someone.
With Cece at the loft, everyone breaks into two person teams. Meanwhile, Coach is distracted trying to think of an email to May. Jess corners Cece and wants to know who she likes. Cece denies that it’s Schmidt and says that Jess can’t help the situation. So Jess corners Winston and he says it’s him, but then Jess thinks that it’s Nick.
At first Winston thinks it’s a good idea to let Jess think she’s right, until Jess starts freaking out in her room. To try and fix things Winston says that Nick thinks Cece is ugly. So Jess goes to talk to Nick and he says that he already talked with Cece about it, thinking that Jess means the popcorn machine Cece has been asking for.
Things get weird when Jess locks Nick and Cece in a room and starts her get frisky playlist. So Nick agrees to get the popcorn machine leaving Jess confused once again. Finally, Cece admits that it is Schmidt she likes.
Schmidt thinks he’s finally over the spider, until Jess tells him it’s on his face. As he’s freaking out about the spider, Fawn walks in and kills it. Even though the girls don’t like Fawn, Jess agrees not to do anything because Cece thinks Schmidt is happy.
