In last week’s episode of New Girl, Jess tried to fit in with the teachers at her new school by acting out of character. Including getting drunk on a weekday, going to work late, and even breaking into their boss’ house. Although Jess feels bad about not being herself, having Nick there for her helps them grow closer.
Meanwhile, Schmidt stresses out at he tries to juggle Cece and Elizabeth. Things get worse when a competitive co-worker wants to ruin things for him and causes him to invite both women to his office party. When he can’t keep Cece and Elizabeth out of each other’s sight, he makes up a story to get Cece to dress up like a caterer. Somehow his crazy plan works, and although the girls talk to each other, neither learns the truth.
Winston finds out that Daisy is cheating on him and decides to break up with her. When she comes back for her cat he was watching, Winston decides to keep it instead.

“Thinking Schmidt has chosen to be with Cece, Jess and Nick invite him to go on a double date with them. Nick is caught between loyalty to his friend and loyalty to his girlfriend when he finds out a shocking secret. Meanwhile, Winston promises to get the foursome a table at an ultra-exclusive restaurant that doesn’t take reservations in the all-new “Double Date” episode of NEW GIRL airing Tuesday, Oct. 1 (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX.”
