In last week’s episode of New Girl Nick and Jess decided to go all in with their relationship which led them on a impromptu trip to Mexico. When they run out of money Nick decides to steal from a local restort which ends up getting him arrested.
Back at the loft, Schmidt can’t break it off with either one of the girls. Winston gets mad when Schmidt doesn’t tell him and he has to cover Schmidt’s tracks. Jess shows up at the loft just in time to stop the two from fighting and asks for their help to get Nick free.
They end up spending a lot of money and trading Jess’ car to get him out. But Nick isn’t ready to go home, he’s worried that going back to the real world will ruin their relationship. Jess tells Nick they will make it through the hard times and convinces him to go home. Oh, and Winston is colorblind.
The synopsis for ‘New Girl’ season 3, episode 2 “Nerds” is:
“When Jess desperately tries to fit in with a clique of “mean girl” teachers at her new school, she (mistakenly) turns to Nick for advice on how to deal with them. Meanwhile, an office party is anything but fun for Schmidt, and Winston plots revenge while cat-sitting for Daisy (guest star Song), whom he suspects is cheating on him in the all-new “Nerds” episode of NEW GIRL airing Tuesday, Sept. 24 (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX.”
