On the last episode of New Girl, Nick and Jess decided to throw a Thanksgiving celebration for their friends. But their choice of invitation has Coach questioning the status of Nick’s manhood. In order to prove his manliness Nick decides they should all go camping on Thanksgiving.

Schmidt, Nick, and Coach spend most of the episode trying to prove themselves as being manly men. Coach seems to be the only one who succeeds in this. Although he is a touch bit emotional about getting the cold shoulder from Cece.

Jess, Cece, and Winston decide to go to a local store to buy food instead of forage for it, but when Nick catches Jess in her lie she eats his caught fish to make him feel better. That then lands her in the hospital for food poisoning.

The group still managed to pull it together by sharing vending machine food at the hospital around Jess’ bed.
