On the last episode of New Girl, Nick agreed to watch Ferguson for Winston so he can go out and meet women. But he and Jess must also watch Schmidt, whose in a downward spiral since Cece and Coach are out on a date. Caught up in Schmidt’s issues, Nick doesn’t notice when Ferguson gets lose. While he helps Winston look for the cat, Jess has to try to keep Schmidt busy.
A stranger calls Winston after finding Ferguson and they hit it off in the weirdest way. Jess has more trouble when she tries to help Schmidt meet other people and he escapes from her. She resorts to hitting him with a car to stop him – at his request – which angers him further. What’s worse, at the end of the night they see Coach and Cece making out in an alley by the loft.
