Taylor Swift will be making her much anticipated guest appearance in the New Girl season 2 finale. Not much is known about her character other than she’s Shivrang’s ex. This is the first look at the star in the episode so it’s unclear of how much time she will actually have in the episode.
Entertainment Weekly unveiled the first image of Swift on New Girl below:
New Girl star Jake Johnson did reveal that her lines involved a monologue. “She had, like, a little monologue and delivered it perfectly,” Johnson said. “Liz gave her alternative jokes and lines, she delivered them all perfectly. It was frustrating!”
Fans may be having mixed feelings about the singer appearing on the New Girl season 2 finale, but executive producer Liz Meriwether couldn’t be more excited about it. Meriwether admits to geeking out about meeting Swift, saying, “I didn’t go to meet her right away because I kind of had to compose myself — there’s a 14-year-old girl inside of me.” The executive producer also teased that Swift did a rift of one of her songs for the episode.
