Farewell, New Girl? Co-star Jake Johnson says season 6 may be the last for the Fox sitcom.
In recent remarks made in an interview and on Twitter, Johnson said that Fox hasn’t renewed New Girl because the series has a 50/50 shot of being canceled.
“Fox won’t tell us [whether the show will be renewed],” he told The Daily Beast. “But we shot a finale where, if this was the end, the core fan base would be OK.”
“I think after this season it’s done,” he added.
Once these comments were published, Johnson said on Twitter:
