Although New Girl will be off to a great start, Jess won’t be! At the start of the season Jess will be laid off from her teaching position, finding herself lost about where to go next. Fans will get to see her try being a cocktail waitress for Schmidt’s party. We’ll also get to meet Cece’s new boyfriend Robby.
Jess’ life doesn’t get any less weird by the second episode where she will pretend to be someone else in order to snag a hot date. Nick will also get a taste of the weird when a stranger claims to be himself from the future. Meanwhile, Winston deals with his family visiting, and they aren’t too happy with his career.

Schmidt throws himself a “rebranding” party at which Jess, recently fired from her teaching job, volunteers to be a “shot girl,” alongside a very jaded cocktail waitress (guest star Parker Posey).
