Sigourney Weaver is returning to the Ghostbusters world thanks to a cameo in the upcoming female-fronted spinoff.

Ghostbusters director Paul Feig announced on Friday that Sigourney Weaver has joined the cast in a yet-to-be-revealed role. Presumably her character will make reference to Dana, the character she played in the first film. Remember, Dana was the first customer in the 1984 classic!

Tweeted Feig:

We imagine the Ghostbusters director had to get the word out there before a news outlet or paparazzi spotted her working on the film. There’ve been tons of paparazzi pictures from the set due to the anticipation surrounding the project. Casting Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones has only further increased everyone’s curiosity in the movie.

Feig and his team have done a good job of preventing any accidental leaks. For example, they released an official photo of the aforementioned actresses in their ghost-busting gear to prevent the paparazzi from scoring a big pay day off of a big scoop.

There’ve been several other Ghostbusters cameos announced including appearances from original stars Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray.

Hopefully Feig is able to keep a few a secret between now and when the movie opens on July 15, 2016.
