A new full trailer for Out of the Furnace has been released, starring Christian Bale, Casey Affleck, and a disgustingly gritty Woody Harrelson.

Christian Bale stars as Russell Baze, a blue-collar worker in a small rust-belt town.

Russell has recently been released from prison, but risks his freedom to save his troubled brother, Rodney (Affleck) who has just returned from serving in Iraq.

Rodney gets mixed up in a crime ring led by Harrelson’s character before mysteriously disappearing. When the police abandon their investigation, Bale’s character takes matters into his own hands.

The gritty crime thriller recently grabbed a center piece slot at AFI Fest and is expected to impress.

Check out the second official trailer for the film:

The first trailer was released earlier this summer, with a song written specifically for the film by Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder.

The impressive cast is rounded out by Forrest Whitaker as a weary police chief, Zoe Saldana as Bale’s loyal girlfriend, Willem Dafoe, and Sam Shepard.

Just as impressive is the film’s list of producers, which includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Ridley Scott, and the late Tony Scott.

DiCaprio was reportedly considered for the lead role before Bale was cast.

The film was written and directed by actor-writer Scott Cooper, whose only other directing credit is the Jeff Bridges Oscar vehicle Crazy Heart.

Out of the Furnace is primed for awards season and award buzz has already begun for Bale and Harrelson.

The film, which shot in the spring of last year, is set to open in wide release on Dec. 6.
