Electronic Arts is set to release new entries in both the Dead Space and Need For Speed franchises by the end of the fiscal year.

The news comes as part of the company’s financial call that took place yesterday.

Need For Speed was listed for a Q3 release, likely setting it up for an October 2012 launch. Criterion Games is believed to be working on the title, which could be a sequel to 2005’s Most Wanted.

EA listed Dead Space among its big titles for the coming year but little else was revealed.

Both games were listed on the website of South African retailer BT Games in April.

More details are expected to be announced at the company’s E3 press conference.
