A new Captain America: The Winter Soldier TV spot has been released by Marvel and it could include a bit of a spoiler about Samuel L. Jackson’s character.

In an official TV spot for The Winter Soldier, we see Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson possibly avenging someone’s death. Watch Cap as things get personal:

Does this TV spot give away the fact that Nick Fury is killed during Captain America’s sequel? They sure edited it in a way to appear as though Fury will die, as Cap says “Fury’s last words were not to trust anyone.”

But it could be that Fury goes into a coma after being in the car wreck featured in the video, leaving them with one last order. This doesn’t seem like Marvel, giving away such a major character death, but it’s hard to know until we see the film. We do see what appears to be Nick Fury lying in a hospital bed being worked on by multiple doctors.

As we’ve seen with Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spin off, they aren’t afraid to bring back people from the dead. Agent Coulson was killed in The Avengers and brought back to life through some very morally questionable methods.

Not to mention, Samuel L. Jackson has reported that he has read the script for The Avengers: Age of Ultron, so we’re most likely just taking the bait that Marvel has set out there for fans.

We won’t know for sure until Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits theaters April 4, 2014. The sequel stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Robert Redford, Sebastian Stan, Frank Grillo and Samuel L. Jackson.
