Marvel has released the second poster for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which features Captain America in the back of a S.H.I.E.L.D. plane and announces a trailer release date.

The Captain America sequel will be headed to theaters in early 2014, and while the first poster was fairly basic, this one gives fans a bit more to look at. Click on the poster below to see its full size:

Along with the poster, Marvel revealed that the official teaser trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier would land online Thursday, October 24.

“Captain America: The Winter Soldier will pick-up where Marvel’s The Avengers left off, as Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) struggles to embrace his role in the modern world and teams up with Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson), aka Black Widow, to battle a powerful yet shadowy enemy in present-day Washington, D.C.”

We’ve had some set images released recently of Captain America: The Winter Soldier filming, with actors Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson on set. There’s also been rumor that the sequel will be closely linked to Marvel’s TV show SHIELD.

We had our first look at Captain America: The Winter Soldier’s new character, The Falcon, played by Anthony Mackie when The Avengers Phase One collector’s set hit shelves a little while back.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is being directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. The sequel stars Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, Frank Grillo and Samuel L. Jackson. The film’s release date is April 4, 2014.
