In the Tall Grass — the newest Stephen King/Joe Hill adaptation from Netflix — has just released its first trailer.

It’s certainly a great time to be a King.

Stephen and Joseph King (better know by his pen name, Joe Hill), that is.

The two best selling horror authors make a formidable father and son team, both in terms of novels and in media.

After a few quiet years on the TV and movie side, Stephen King adaptations are once again back and big business. IT: Chapter 2 is currently sitting on a $323 million worldwide gross, making the IT franchise a billion dollar grossing behemoth. The Shining follow-up film Doctor Sleep, which stars Ewan McGregor, is sure to terrify audiences everywhere on November 8th, while CBS’ upcoming adaptation of The Stand has recently cast Alexander Skarsgard as Randall Flagg.

Joe Hill, not to be too outdone by dear old dad, is likewise having quite a year himself. The long-gestating adaptation of his Eisner award-winning comic Locke & Key is finally eying a 2020 release date at Netflix, and NOS4A2 — the adaptation of his best-selling novel — was recently renewed for a second season at AMC.

Now, the two accomplished writers will see one of their co-written endeavors come to life in the Netflix adaptation of In the Tall Grass. Check out the trailer below!

In the Tall Grass centers on siblings Becky and Cal, who venture deep into a field of tall grass after hearing the cries of a young boy who needs help.

However, as this is a horror movie, the siblings soon find themselves trapped by some evil thing lurking in the grass which quickly disorients and separates them.

As the story goes on, we meet other individuals lost in the Kansas field and soon come to find that there may be no escape from the evil that is stalking them.

In the Tall Grass Laysla De Oliveira and Avery Whitted as siblings Becky and Cal, Harrison Gilbertson, Rachel Wilson, Will Buie Jr. and horror movie veteran Patrick Wilson.
